New Device Driver for the Mighty Mouse

Plentycom Systems in Japan is already marketing a device driver for Apple's Mighty Mouse which adds functionality Apple should have provided.

SteerMouse
works in Tiger or Panther 10.3.9, and allows you to

  • asssign various functions to different buttons
  • customize the scroll ball
  • adjust the cursor speed
  • configure the cursor to automatically position over default widgets (such as the "OK" button)
SteerMouse will set you back $20, but you can download it and use it on a trial basis for 30 days.
