Delicious Library 1.1

Here's an application you never new you needed-- until now. Delicious Library (from Delicious Monster) catalogs all of your books, movies, video games, and music CDs in a virtual library. What's that? The first database app you ever wrote did that? Oh, not like this one. Using an optical device (such as an iSight or a Bluetooth bar code scanner), you scan the bar codes on your products, and Delicious Library reaches out to Amazon and retrieves cover art, author, title, and more. The result is as much eye candy as it is functional library manager.

When you view the contents of your library, it's as if you are looking at the actual items on a book shelf. The cool feature I like is the built-in support for checking items out to your friends. Delicious Library integrates with the Mac Address Book and iCal programs to track who has what checked out, and when.

Right now as a MacWorld special (find them at booth #518), Delicious Monster is offering Delicious Library at a discounted price of $30, and they're also discounting a BlueTooth wireless laser scanner by 25%.
