Still Another Stackable HD for the Mini
Lacie makes some of the best external drives, and I'm glad they keep 'em coming. Their latest release is for the Mac Mini: It's a 250GB hard drive in a stackable enclosure called the LaCie Mini.This FireWire 400 enclosure houses a 7200rpm drive with an 8 MB cache. Unfortunately, that's all it has... where are the USB 2.0 and FireWire hubs, as found in the Mini Pal , the MiniStack, and the Mini Mate?
This unit has some drawbacks when compared to other similar offerings, but has the advantage of providing excellent airflow beneath the Mini, and being from LaCie.
The LaCie Mini 250GB will be available any day now for $199, or you can get smaller versions (80 GB, 160 GB) right now, starting at $119.
